Before you start #
- WordPress has Commerce7 for WordPress installed, active, and connected to your tenant, so checkout works.
- Your experiences are set up in Commerce7, and the times you want bookable are marked Allow customers to reserve online.
If Commerce7 for WordPress is not active, this plugin shows an admin notice and does not load the widget.
1. Install the app in Commerce7 #
- In Commerce7, open the App Store and find Advanced Reservations.
- Click Install and approve the permissions it asks for.
- Open the app’s Settings tab.
- Download the WordPress plugin. The file is
clink-c7-reservations.zip. - Copy the connection key from the same tab. It starts with
clk_.
2. Install the plugin in WordPress #
- Go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin.
- Upload the zip file, click Install Now, then Activate.
3. Connect #
- Go to Clink C7 → Reservations.
- In Commerce7 connection, paste the whole key, including
clk_. - Click Save and connect. You should see “Connected to your-tenant.” The tenant comes from the key. There is no separate tenant field.
Booking widgets stay hidden from guests until the plugin is connected. Administrators see a short notice in their place, with a link back to the settings page.
If it does not connect #
- That isn’t a valid connection key. Part of the key is missing. Copy it again from the app’s Settings tab.
- App not installed. Install Advanced Reservations in Commerce7, then click Test connection.
- Key not valid. The key was regenerated in Commerce7. Copy the current key and save it again.
- This key is for another Clink app. Calendar, Products, and Reservations each have their own key. Paste the key from Advanced Reservations.
- Key saved, but it couldn’t be checked right now. The key is stored. The plugin checks again within the hour. You can also click Test connection.
Clearing the key and saving turns the widgets off until you add a key again.
